GENERAL QUESTIONS

  • WHAT IS GTM?

    GTM is an elite appointment-only event that connects travel advisors with global travel suppliers.

  • WHEN AND WHERE DO THE GTM EVENTS TAKE PLACE?

    GTM will be held at The Diplomat Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood, Florida from July 18-20, 2024. GTM West will be held June 2-4, 2024 at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa, Las Vegas/Henderson, Nevada.

  • WHO ATTENDS GTM?

    GTM is an event for top producing travel advisors and industry suppliers.

  • HOW CAN I ATTEND GTM?

    Eligibility requirements for travel advisors can be found here. You must apply to attend and will undergo a rigorous vetting and interview process by our team. Suppliers interested in attending should contact Emmy Morales, Director of Sales at emorales@travelweekly.com. Spots are limited for each supplier category.

  • WHAT IS INCLUDED IN GTM FOR ADVISOR ATTENDEES?

    -Complimentary airfare and 3 nights hotel accommodations

    -Pre-scheduled appointments and Boardroom presentations with participating suppliers.

    -Complimentary admission to GTM and all official event networking events

    -Complimentary airport transfers

    -Official GTM meal functions which include the welcome reception, 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, a dinner reception, and the closing reception

    Please note: Everyone who is accepted to attend GTM will pay a $300 administrative processing fee at time of registration. This non-refundable fee confirms your spot at the event.

  • ARE AIRPORT TRANSFERS INCLUDED IN MY PARTICIPATION?

    Yes, complimentary airport transfers to/from the Diplomat Beach Resort and Spa and the airport are provided for all travel advisors.

  • AS AN ADVISOR, CAN I ATTEND GTM EVERY YEAR?

    First year attendees can apply to attend as a part of our Ambassador Program for the following year. For example, if you attended for the first time in 2023, you are eligible to apply as an Ambassador in 2024. All others are only eligible to attend every other year.

  • WHAT IS A GTM AMBASSADOR?

    First time attendees of GTM can apply to become an ambassador for the following year (for example, if you attended for the first time in 2023, you can apply to be an ambassador for 2024). Space is limited for the Ambassador Program. Travel advisors must meet requirements and be available to those new to GTM. Those eligible for this program in 2024 will be notified by Jacquie Hurst via e-mail.

  • WHAT IS AN ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER?

    Our Advisory Board is hand-selected by our team and works with us to give feedback in order to make our event better each year. They are an extremely valuable asset to GTM and we are very grateful for all that they do for us.

  • CAN I APPLY TO BECOME AN ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER?

    No, the Advisory Board is hand-selected by the GTM team.

  • WHAT IS THE EVENT ATTIRE?

    Business casual is the recommended attire during the appointment and Boardroom portion of the event. Resort casual is acceptable for all evening functions. Most importantly, while onsite you will do a lot of walking so please make sure to pack comfortable shoes.

  • IS THIS A FAM TRIP?

    No! As a hosted travel advisor you will need to attend all pre-scheduled business appointments and Boardroom presentations with suppliers on all days of the event. We will create your customized schedule based on requests made between you and suppliers. You are required to attend all of your appointments to avoid cancellation fees. GTM is not a FAM trip; it will be a place for qualified hosted travel advisors to make business happen.

BOARDROOMS

  • WHAT ARE BOARDROOMS?

    Boardrooms are 30-minute presentations given by suppliers to a small group of travel advisors in hotel suites. Advisors will hear from 16 suppliers throughout the course of the event.

  • DOES EVERYONE ATTEND BOARDROOMS?

    All travel advisors are required to be present for their Boardroom presentations. There are a limited number of spots open to suppliers, and they always sell out quickly. Contact Emmy Morales at emorales@travelweekly.com if you would like to learn more.

APPOINTMENTS

  • HOW LONG ARE APPOINTMENTS?

    Appointments are 6 minutes each, with 2 minutes of transition time in between.

  • HOW MANY APPOINTMENTS CAN I HAVE?

    You may receive up to 52 appointments, divided up over 2 days.

  • HOW DO I CHOOSE WHO I HAVE APPOINTMENTS WITH?

    Appointments are chosen prior to the event, through an online mutual selection process.

SPONSORED MEAL FUNCTIONS

  • WHO CAN ATTEND SPONSORED MEAL FUNCTIONS?

    Travel advisors are required and suppliers are invited to attend all meal functions, which includes 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinner receptions.

  • WHAT HAPPENS DURING A SPONSORED MEAL FUNCTION?

    Attendees will enjoy their meals and view a 15-minute presentation from the sponsor.

  • I’M A SUPPLIER. HOW CAN I SPONSOR A MEAL FUNCTION?

TRAVEL INFO

  • HOW DO I BOOK MY AIR AND HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS?

    All complimentary air transportation for GTM hosted travel advisors must be booked by our corporate travel agency partner – Ultramar.

    Hotel accommodations will be booked by GTM event management. If you have a specific request regarding travel or accommodations please contact the team immediately upon receiving your qualification acceptance email. All accommodations are provided on a room/tax-only basis. You will be responsible for any additional expenses charged to your room. Additional expenses must be settled with the hotel prior to departure and you will be asked for a personal credit card imprint upon check-in to the hotel.
